Brilliant Blazers
The Blazers have established themselves as the dominant team in 3v3 Makeni basketball with back-to-back wins of the Wusum tournament last month and then the StarBurst Park 3v3 Open tournament this past weekend.
The Blazers won two straight in a "best of three" format against the Warriors. The highly talented and cohesive Blazers squad was led by Michael who finished the tournament with 21 points, 4 assists, 22 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. Michael attributed his outstanding improvement over the past year to coaches including Coach Israel and Coach Sullae.
The winning team bagged a cash prize of Le 1000 while the runners up took home Le 500.
